Green Tier IV Co-location facility opens in Santa Clara, CA
Bay Area Internet Solutions (BAIS) goes live on December 1, 2009 with a new facility in the heart of Silicon Valley. SilverBack was asked to attend and exhibit during their introductory exhibition last week. Fun was had by all, and it is a truly awesome facility.
The facility is rated as Tier IV with N+1 redundancy and features a highlight of the newest technologies to supply customers with high-density power and top-of-the-line cooling, including more than a thousand high density cold aisle containment cabinets. Security is extremely thorough, from security fences and monitoring to disaster detection and fire suppression.
Some of the “coolest” cooling features in this facility include:
- Air Plenum Cold Air Corridor
- Cold Aisle Containment Racks
- 200,000 CFM Bank of filtered Small External Fans
- 2800 tons mechanical Water-based Chillers and oversized Cooling Towers with primary variable pump system
- Dew point and humidity control
BAIS Inc., founded in 1995, is a great choice to go with since they pride themselves on being Silicon Valley’s premier service provider, a world-class, carrier-neutral IDC facility offering N+1 infrastructure and flexible solutions, as well as excellent customer service and personalized business relations, at a cost you can afford.
