For a quick tour of Silverback’s equipment crates, check out this video!
For Long Distance Projects, Silverback Data Center Solutions uses specially designed equipment crates. These crates were designed by Kenneth Jamaca, Silverback’s Founder & President, with the following key items in mind:
Life Safety – The front loading style of these crates are easy to load, using similar muscle groups and tools (lifts, etc) as loading a standard data center rack.
Equipment Safety – By design, devices are protected from accidental impact, dropping, and shifting. Using alternative options, such as cardboard boxes and bubble wrap, provide inconsistent coverage and protection. Silverback’s crates utilize wooden structure and anti-static foam to provide the best protection possible for customer equipment.
Power Testing – Many data center and colocation facilities now require all devices to be power tested before they are brought into the data center. The design of Silverback’s crates allows for rapid power testing, without removing devices from the crate.
Ease of Deployment – Silverback’s crates are also designed with a keen eye on waste. After removing all equipment from the crates, all packing materials are re-loaded into the crates and are returned to Silverback’s regional warehouses for re-use. There is no waste as the crates and associated packing materials are re-usable.
